The Mysore Palace, also known as Amba Vilas Palace, is an architectural gem, a magnificent blend of Indo-Saracenic, Dravidian, and Gothic architectural styles, this royal palace is a testament to the grandeur of India’s regal heritage. Constructed between 1897 to 1912 under the supervision of British architect Henry Irwin, the palace was the residence of the Wodeyar dynasty, who ruled Mysuru for over 500 years. Its intricate craftsmanship and lavish interiors leave visitors awestruck. The ornate Durbar Hall, the jewel-encrusted golden throne, and vibrant stained-glass ceilings are only a glimpse of its opulence. The palace is particularly captivating during the annual Dasara celebrations, illuminated by nearly 97,000 bulbs, creating a surreal spectacle. The palace nestles regally within sprawling palace grounds, surrounded by a fort. Inside the fort, there is a cluster of 08 temples, and tall, majestic Rayagopuras. The palace is 145 feet high, 245 feet wide and consists of 16 big and small towers. The Mysore Palace houses a wonderful treasure trove of art and antiquity, including paintings by masters like Raja Ravi Varma, K. Venkatappa and other local artisans. The wooden carvings, inlay-decorated door, doorframes and silver doors can be inside palace.

ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಮನೆ, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ: ಮೈಸೂರು

ಮನಮೋಹಕ ಅಂಬಾವಿಲಾಸ ಅರಮನೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಮನೆಯು ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪದ ರತ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇಂಡೋ-ಸಾರ್ಸೆನಿಕ್, ದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಥಿಕ್ ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪದ ಶೈಲಿಗಳ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಅರಮನೆಯು ಭಾರತದ ರಾಜಮನೆತನದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ವೈಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದ್ದಂತಹ ಮರದ ಅರಮನೆಯು ಅಗ್ನಿ ಅವಘಡದಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಈಗಿರುವ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪಿ ಹೆನ್ರಿ ಇರ್ವಿನ್ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 1897 ರಿಂದ 1912 ರವರೆಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾದ ಅರಮನೆಯು 500 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮೈಸೂರನ್ನು ಆಳಿದ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ರಾಜವಂಶದ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವು ಕರಕುಶಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದ್ದೂರಿ ಒಳಾಂಗಣಗಳು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಲೇಪಿತ ಕಂಬಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕೃತವಾದ ದರ್ಬಾರ್ ಹಾಲ್, ರತ್ನ ಖಚಿತ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನ ಮತ್ತು ವಿವಿಧ ದೇಶಗಳ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಗಾಜಿನ ಛಾವಣಿಗಳು ಅದರ ಅದ್ದೂರಿ ವೈಭವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಅರಮನೆಯು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ದಸರಾ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುಮಾರು 97,000 ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಬಲ್ಬ್ ಗಳಿಂದ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅರಮನೆಯು ಕೋಟೆಯಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದಿರುವ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ ಪ್ರದೇಶವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೋಟೆಯ ಆವರಣದೊಳಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 08 ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳ ಸಮೂಹವಿದ್ದು, ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ರಾಜಗೋಪುರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಕಟ್ಡಡದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ 245 ಅಡಿ ಉದ್ದ, 156 ಅಡಿ ಅಗಲ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 145 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರವಿರುವ ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಲೇಪಿತ ಗೋಪುರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಅರಮನೆಯು ಕಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಚೀನತೆಯ ಅದ್ಭುತ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಾ ರವಿವರ್ಮ, ಕೆ. ವೆಂಕಟಪ್ಪ ಅವರಂತಹ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರುಗಳಿಂದ ವರ್ಣಚಿತ್ರಗಳು, ಮರದ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಗಳು, ಬೀಟೆ ಮರ ಮತ್ತು ಆನೆಯ ದಂತದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಸುಂದರ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಗಳ ಅಲಂಕೃತ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಾಗಿಲು, ಚೌಕಟ್ಟುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಲವು ಆಕರ್ಷಣೀಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
